At Guthrie Pet Hospital, our staff has the ability to meet the health and beauty needs of all sizes and breeds of dogs. We provide a comprehensive menu of services and offer a variety of cuts and styles.
- Nail trims
Dogs need a nail trim at least once a month. Most owners (and dogs) are not eager to get this done, and at-home attempts may result in cutting the nails too short. Our staff knows how to effectively handle your pet during this process and can cut the nails to the appropriate length.
- Early detection of problems
Our groomers are very familiar with the canine anatomy and will alert you if they find any abnormalities such as lumps, skin discoloration, rashes, lesions, or bald patches.
- Detection of parasites
As part of the grooming process, our staff can immediately detect the presence of any parasites, such as fleas or ear mites that may have been overlooked.
- Healthy skin tips
Our professional groomers can observe if your pet’s skin is too dry or oily and can make dietary recommendations to improve your dog’s well-being. If your dog has a skin condition, we can apply the appropriate products to protect his or her skin.
- Detection of other physical wounds
Our staff will thoroughly inspect your dog’s body and paws for any hidden cuts, thorns, or punctures. We can treat your pet for these wounds and administer antiseptic solutions to avoid infection.
Overall, professional grooming results in a cleaner, healthier dog. You can feel confident knowing our staff has access to the appropriate tools and spaces necessary to perform these services while keeping your pet safe and comfortable.
