Leading Diagnostic Practices and Technology
Guthrie Pet Hospital offers a broad range of diagnostic tests to help us identify and target the source of any problems your cat or dog may be experiencing. We also run an in-house laboratory, which allows our team to provide you with results quickly and efficiently.
- Stool analysis
Identifies the presence of parasites such as roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms.
- Urine analysis
Detects various urinary tract diseases and the presence of bacteria or infection.
- Blood tests
Used to diagnose a multitude of conditions including anemia, leukemia, and heartworm disease.
We also recommend more specific testing for puppies and kittens and senior pets. For advanced diagnostics and treatments, Guthrie Pet Hospital can make referrals to a number of different locations in the area. We maintain close relationships with each of our referral partners, so you can feel confident developing a plan that is in the best interest of you and your pet.
Diagnostic Imaging: Digital X-Rays
When it comes to helping your cat or dog, one of the most important tools at our disposal are digital X-rays. Radiography (X-ray) technology is extremely useful in detecting changes in bone structure, internal shape abnormalities, and the presence of foreign objects. Digital X-rays take this technology to the next level by allowing us to examine and distribute images much more quickly and require less radiation than conventional methods.
Guthrie Pet Hospital is pleased to provide you with this service that enhances our ability to effectively diagnose and treat your pet.
