Obedience and Behavioral Training at Guthrie Pet Hospital
Being a pet owner is one of the most rewarding experiences we can imagine. We all love our pets’ unique personalities and value their loyalty and companionship as much as they do ours. However, to gain the most out of your relationship, it’s important to teach your cat or dog behaviors that will ensure his or her safety and enhance your everyday lives.
At Guthrie Pet Hospital, we provide both behavioral and obedience training for your dog. For feline owners, our staff is happy to discuss common behavioral issues such as litter box training and territory marking.

Dog Training
Our primary trainer is certified through the Animal Behavior College and has accumulated a wealth of professional experience in this area. We offer a range of service levels that may include:
- 30 to 60-minute sessions
- Group classes
- Individualized follow-up instructions
- One-on-one sessions
- Puppy classes
Upon completion, your dog will understand basic commands such as “sit” or “stay.” We can also help you address more complex issues such as chewing habits and housetraining. In addition, you may choose to have your dog participate in the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Program, which prepares your pet to visit schools, nursing homes, and other community centers.
Remember, most pets can learn the basics with only a handful of lessons. Lasting impact is achieved by teaching owners how to work with their dogs. Therefore, it’s important to select a knowledgeable provider such as Guthrie Pet Hospital who offers trainers you can rely on and trust.
